When will they learn…

I was reading this over on Confessions of a Brand Evangelist, and it struck a chord.

There are few things that create buyer’s regret for me more than a pushy salesperson pushing an extended warranty or other “care plan”.

When will companies learn that those who want to buy extended warranties and care plans generally don’t need to be sold, and those who don’t think they’re a sucker-bet/stupidity-tax and are offended when the salesperson uses the “Of course you want to buy this!” approach.

I’m not an Apple guy, and reading the story didn’t make me want to become one.
