Choose which contextual advertising program?

Well, when they say that the there’s a buzz about Yahoo’s Publisher Network, or YPN, which is rumored to be a new competitor to Google’s program Adsense, they aren’t kidding – it’s everywhere. It’s hard to figure out who to link to.

It is well-known that Google’s program requires pretty tight lips on its users, will others be the same? Will we have to choose which program to use, and use only one program?

There have been reports of being blacklisted for mysterious reasons, will “experimenting” with a new service get one blacklisted from their old service?

I guess this will depend on the relationship between publishers and advertisers, and time will tell. I’m all in favor of competition, but who wants to get caught between the Hatfields and McCoys?
